Great to see the young “Paterson” kids on holidays with wide breamed smiles catching fish as the enjoy their family boating cruise.
Fishing was very productive this week around the full moon with the frying pan and river mouth producing trevally, whiting, bream, flathead and the odd tailor. Woods Bay, the back of Noosa Sound, Weyba Creek and the mouth of Lake Cooroibah were good for cod, bream, flathead, tarwine, trevally and maybe a magrove jack. Whiting and fleathead were in numbers in 3 to 5 feet of water and on the sand banks through the Noosaville reaches and before the car ferry at past Tewantin.
Live herring, white baits and lures are working for larger varieties with beach worms and yabbies good for whiting, bream and trevally. The run out tide seems to be fishing better than the run in and avoid the turn of the tide for an hour each side as the tidal movement creates more activity.
Another perfect week ahead with just the chance of an odd shower towards the weekend and temperatures in the high 20’s everyday.
