Ultimate weekend: It’s a weekend of sports, fun and entertainment this Saturday and Sunday, 26-27 April at the Noosa Ultimate Sports Fest with ocean swims, mountain cycle challenges and river runs including the Noosa Half Marathon and a 5km family fun walk. There’s an event and distance for the whole family or it’s a perfect platform for your triathlon preparation. There’s also a sport and lifestyle expo and entertainment in Festival Village, Noosa Heads Lions Park. Catch the festival Shuttle Bus from Cooyar St, Noosa Junction to Noosa Heads on Saturday, 11am-5pm and Sunday 27, 5am-2pm. ANZAC services: ANZAC Day dawn services and parades will be held around the Noosa region this Friday 25 April: Tewantin, dawn service at 5.30am; main parade at 9am with FA18 Super Hornet and Harvard Warbird flyover. Cooroy, dawn service at 5am; march at 10.30am. Coolum, dawn service at 5.10am. Eumundi, commemorative walk at 8am, followed by service. Kin Kin, memorial service at 10am. Yandina, march at 11am.
