Noosa River Weekly Fishing Report

boathirenoosaheads fishingpontoon www.oboathire.com3Great to see the  young “Paterson” kids on holidays with wide breamed smiles catching fish as the enjoy their family boating cruise.

Fishing was very productive this week around the full moon with the frying pan and river mouth producing trevally, whiting, bream, flathead and the odd tailor. Woods Bay, the back of Noosa Sound, Weyba Creek and the mouth of Lake Cooroibah were good for cod, bream, flathead, tarwine, trevally and maybe a magrove jack.  Whiting and fleathead were in numbers in 3 to 5 feet of water and on the sand banks through the Noosaville reaches and before the car ferry at past Tewantin.
Live herring, white baits and lures are working for larger varieties with beach worms and yabbies good for whiting, bream and trevally. The run out tide seems to be fishing better than the run in and avoid the turn of the tide for an hour each side as the tidal movement creates more activity.
Another perfect week ahead with just the chance of an odd shower towards the weekend and temperatures in the high 20’s everyday.

Noosa River Weather

The weather looks awesome for another great week for fishing and crabbing in our waterways of Noosa River.Capture Mar 12

Noosa River Fishing Weekly Report

A couple of local anglers were stoked to land this nice trevally caught up river in their secret spot.

The river was pretty active with the 3 day Summer Fishing Classic on until Sunday. We saw quite a few flathead caught at the river mouth, doggy beach and Noosaville reaches with plenty of whiting in the shallows on the sand banks of the lower reaches.

There were a few mangrove jacks caught around the Noosa Marina structures and up at the mouth of Lake Cooroibah along with grunter bream. The Woods Bay and Frying Pan were good for a few estuary cod and bream as was Weyba Creek and the back of Noosa Sound and for whiting, flatties and fingermark.

Both tides fished well and try live worms and yabbies for bait.

It looks a bit showery early in the week but fining up for another fabulous weekend on the waters again.

Until next week good luck from the boys at Noosa Fishing and Crab Adventures.Noosaboathire fishingpontoon www.oboathire.com
