Noosa River Weekly Fishing Report

Tara and mum (Cat) were up on holidays and had a great experience on the Noosa Fishing and Crab Adventure boat Sunday.
They caught this prize 65cm flathead, had a yummy crab tasting cooked up and some awesome scenery.

The big tides has made fishing very productive this week with most parts of the Noosa River showing some good action.
The river mouth had flathead, bream, whiting, trevally on the bite and after dark jacks and school jew were on the prowl as well, as at Woods Point. The Frying Pan has bream, whiting and flathead and best results are using live beach worms or yabbies. The Woods Bays through to Munna Point have bream, flathead and trevally active as well as the deeper holes at the back of Noosa Sound.
Weyba Creek is always worth a try for flathead, whiting and the odd estuary cod with a few jacks at night. Sand crabs are also still on the march so take a crab pot.
The Noosaville reaches to Tewantin have whiting on the sand banks and good size bream and flathead in the deeper parts. From the ski run to the car ferry and at the mouth of Lake Cooroibah fishing is good also with several varieties up for grabs including, grunter bream, whiting, flathead, jacks and the odd threadfin salmon.
Between the top two lakes in the deeper holes after dark are worthwhile for the extended adventurists. Best tides are either side of the top of each tide.
There looks likely to be a couple showers about at the end of this week but fining up for another fabulous weekend to his the safe waters of our beautiful river.

Until next week good luck from the guys at Noosa Fishing and Crab Adventures.Tara and mum Cat 65cm on live herring
