Noosa River Weekly Fishing Report

Picture1Adelaine from Canada caught and released this suregon fish at the mouth of Lake Cooroibah.

It has been a good week for some nice flathead around the river mouth with catches up to 65cm . Trevally and whiting have also been in good numbers with prawns and yabbies being the best baits. Woods Bay has provided trevally and flathead with live herring being the preferred bait.Weyba creek has seen whiting to 32cm and average size flathead caught. Tewantin has produced some bigger bream up to 32cm on mullet strips and prawns. The mouth of Lake Cooroibah has had plenty of different species this week with bream, whiting, grunter bream and trevally all on the bite with live prawns and live worms being the best baits. There are a few live prawns running in the river at the moment and they are by far the best bait for the river. The week ahead looks fantastic with the weather forecast so get out there and enjoy it.

Until next week good luck from the boys at O Boats.
