There has been large numbers of bream hanging around deeper holes and structures throughout the Noosa river. The best baits for bream include worms and prawns. At the top end of the river near the frying pan there has been reports of decent size whiting being caught. When targeting whiting its best to drop a line just at the drop off of a sand flat. The most successful baits include live worms and yabbies. Woods bay as always is a fantastic fishing spot at dawn and dusk and can often produce quality trevally and mangrove jack. Pilchards and mullet strips tend to be the best bait when fishing in and around Woods Bay. Their has been several reports of good flathead being caught anywhere from the Tewantin Marina all the way up to Makepeace Island. The fishing is great anywhere between the cable ferry crossing and the mouth of Lake Cooiobah, with several species such as golden trevally, bream, whiting and flathead being caught. This weeks weather forecast shows little chance of rain and a fine sunny weekend ahead.. It’s a great time to head out one morning and enjoy a good fish whilst the wind is down early in the day.

Until next week good luck from the boys at O Boats.
