Slam Beach Volleyball: It’s a fun day on Noosa Main Beach this Sat 13 Dec with games, pumping tunes and crazy costumes at the Slam Beach Volleyball Festival. Social and competitive events start at 10am, with activities all day and a great after-party at Noosa Surf Club from 12.30pm with Tea Society, Rob Longstaff, Sounds Of The Sun and Matt Stillert. Cost is $50 per player, team registration from 9am – or just watch the fun
Golfing greats: Ian Baker-Finch, Mike Harwood, Rodger Davis and Wayne Grady are among more than 80 professional entries including 5 international players in the Noosa Golf Club Pro Am on Tues 16 Dec, shotgun start at 7.15am
Christmas carnivals: There’s rides, live music, Christmas Carols, food and fireworks over Noosa River at the annual Tewantin Christmas Carnival, Sun 14 Dec, Memorial Park, Memorial Ave, Tewantin, 4-8pm, free admission. And the Coolum Christmas Carnival on Sat 13 Dec, Tickle Park, Coolum Beach from 6pm is a great night of carols, a visit from Santa, kids’ freebies and fireworks at 8.30pm

Classic Christmas: The Christmas Spirit Classical Music Concert, Eudlo Hall, Sat 13 Dec, 6.30pm, has Christmas music performed by Dreaming Big choir and chamber orchestra with guest artists, opera singer, choristers and young musicians.
