noosa River Weekly Fishing Report

Cody landed this nice 38cm flatty when up from Melbourne on the weekend that earned him fish of the week.
They caught and released about 30 to 40 fish when on tour on the Noosa Fishing and Crab Adventures.

The holidays are in full swing with lots of boating activity so we advise heading up river where a bit quieter and the murky waters cause the fish to be less timid.
However the river mouth still produced a few flathead, bream and the odd trevally and tailor. The frying pan and dog beach have whiting, flathead and bream on the move with best results are on live beach worms or yabbies.
The back of Noosa Sound and Weyba Creek is worth a try for bream, whiting and some estuary cod and jacks in the deeper parts around structures.
Mangrove jack a prize river fish are best targeted into the evening and night on live bait and also worth trying at the Munna and Sheraton bridges, around Noosa Marina and before and after Lake Cooroibah.
From Munna Point through the Noosaville reaches there are whiting on the sand flats and good fishing between the ski run and car ferry for whiting, grunter bream and flathead. The run in tides and top of each tide seem to be fishing best.
Both entrances of Lake Cooroibah are worth a try too with several varieties about.
Try taking a couple crab pots as there are plenty of sand crabs in Weyba Creek.
The weather is clearing up with only a possible shower about and some warm days ahead so don’t forget to slip, slop, slap and look out for fellow boaties.

Until next week good luck from the boys at Noosa Fishing and Crab Adventures.Cody Melb 38cm flathead
