Noosa River Weekly Fishing Report

as

The river this week has cleared up and is looking magnificent. Whiting have been amongst the river anywhere from Munna point to the Boathouse. Live worms and prawns are generally the best baits when targeting whiting. Flathead have been making appearances surrounding shallow water drop offs such as the frying pan and Noosa river mouth. Soft plastics produce the best results when targeting flathead although prawns will work also. The Noosa River mouth has been a highlight fishing spot, especially on the high tide and at the late hours of the afternoon. Pilchards and mullet strips tend to produce the best results when fishing at the bottom end of the river. When moving up the river more, there has been some great reports of decent size bream surrounding Tewantin. Makepeace Island and the ferry crossing have been producing great size flathead, bream, whiting and golden trevally. When fishing down toward the lakes, prawns and squid have been proving to produce the best results. The weather forecast for the next week is looking fantastic with the sun out and little to no wind about. Until next week good luck from the boys at O Boats.
