Curtis from #Brisbane was all smiles when he landed a nice whiting and grunter bream when on tour in this week’s Noosa Fishing and Crab Adventures.
A productive week of #fishing saw plenty of whiting and bream caught on the sand flats in the Frying Pan and around the river mouth. They were also active along the #Noosaville reaches and Munna Point and best results were on live worms or yabbies.
Flathead and trevally up to 65cm and 55cm respectively were landed at the river mouth, Woods Point and Bay and prevalent up Weyba Creek along with a few estuary cod in the deeper holes. Drifting seemed more successful too.
Good sized bream and the odd mangrove jack were taken at Noosa Marina after dark as well as before Lake Cooroibah and the odd jew fish between the top lakes.
Mullet strips were going off as well as lures and soft plastics working up a good action. Both tides are fishing well with slow periods at the turn of each tide.
It’s still worth throwing in a couple crab pots as there are a few muddies still about through the river system and the odd blue swimmer.
With the start of the holidays this #weekend the waterways will be busy so stick to early morning or late afternoon and the quieter spots as the fish can be timid.
The weather looks great with a sunny week and only the possibility of an odd shower over the weekend and early in the week. Good fishing and boat safe.
