Hydrothon: See current and past surf sports champions including Ironwoman Liz Pluimers at Hydrothon this Sun 21 June with a 1km swim, 9km ocean paddle and 8km run from Noosa Main Beach from 8am. Also a Hydrothon 4 Kids event

Rally action: The International Rally of Queensland has forest racing action with stages in the Mary Valley near Noosa hinterland this weekend, 20-21 June. Junior World Champion Pontus Tidemand, Asia Pacific and Indian Champion Gaurav Gill and the world’s top female driver Molly Taylor of Australia are among drivers tackling 18 timed stages over almost 230km between Kenilworth and Kandanga. Empty bowls: Slow Food Noosa hosts an Empty Bowls Lunch at Cooroy Butter Factory Arts Centre, Sun 21 June, noon, raising funds for a community health and nutrition program for women in Timor-Leste. Local ceramic artists have donated bowls for the event – everyone will take home a beautiful handcrafted bowl – and head chef from View Restaurant at Outrigger Little Hastings Street Resort and Spa, Michael Jenkins, has created a 3-course lunch.
