The fishing Noosa River this week has been good with several positive reports both in the fishing and crabbing department. There a lots of bream in the river mainly around deeper holes and structures such as the sound bridge and the river mouth. The best bait when targeting bream is prawns and live yabbies. Whiting are about, mainly around your sand flats and shallow water drop offs. When fishing for whiting live baits are preferred such as worms or yabbies. The river mouth is a ripper of a fishing spot at the moment with several reports of good size giant trevally and the occasional jewfish caught off the rock wall. As always the best time to fish is the early hours of the morning and the late hours of the afternoon. There has been reports of some good size flathead caught anywhere from the Tewantin marina to Makepeace Island. Soft plastics produce the best results when targeting flathead. The crabbing has been great in the river with several legal buck mud crabs caught aboard the Noosa Fishing and Crab Adventures over the past week. The weather is mostly clear with the odd chance of a light shower but fining up for the weekend.

Until next week good luck from the boys at O Boats.
